This is Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, Senior Pastor of Manmin Central Church in Seoul, Korea. I wish for your life to be filled with God's love and blessing. I want to share God's grace with you through this message titled "Do Not Conform to this Generation."

Various disasters and problems are prevailing all over the world today. The North Korean nuclear weapon crisis, contamination of air and water, destruction of ozone layer and biological systems, weather changes, earthquakes, famine and starvation, population explosion, moral corruption, new and previously unknown diseases, and many other tragedies are occurring.

These are called "signs of the end time of this world" and they are recorded throughout the Bible. In Matthew 24:3, a disciple of Jesus asked Him, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered, "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." Now the gospel of Jesus Christ is being spread all over the world via various media.

Just as Daniel 12:4 says, "Many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase," people can come and go where they want in a single day because of the advancements in today's means of transportation.

It is the same with knowledge. Scientific development that mankind have accomplished during the last 100 years is greater than what had been accomplished for the previous 400 years. A great deal of knowledge has increased in all the fields including society, culture, and economics.

2 Timothy 3:1 onward say, "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."

These are the very characteristics of our societies today. There are so many people who love themselves. They wear personal accessories including expensive watches and jewels on extravagant garments, that go way beyond being just excessive. Sometimes they follow fashionable things too eagerly and so conflicts and troubles happen between parents and children, brothers, and spouses because of money.

Those who are looked up to should set good examples in their societies, but they do not hesitate to commit crimes for the sake of their own benefits. Sins and evils are rampant anywhere.

The times of pain and agony of the last days have come. The love of many people is becoming cold. People abandon their children. Children beat, accuse and murder their parents. These immoral evils are prevailing in all societies. (They are the "signs of the end time of this world")

May each of you not be conformed to the world but overcome it by faith, in the name of our Lord I pray!
